In the beginning of 2022, after a bunch of previous fails in making video games, I finally decided to pull myself together and develop a mobile game. I really wanted to bring this project to completion and publish it on Google Play. The idea of the game didn't take a long to come up - I decided to just follow a tutorial from YouTube, where a guy was creating a simple top-down shooter. I took all the mechanics from there but surely changed sprites and names. At that time I realized how much I love adapting things for myself, towards my interests. As I couldn't do a lot in terms of gameplay or playability, I focused on designs and concept. The plot was crazy, maps were brought from real places (bazars of Urgench), characters were literally my friends. I think this kind of game was a honor for Urgench or even for whole Uzbekistan.
The developent took me about 4 months. A lot happened in this period and it was truly a fun proccess. My friends were coming up with crazy ideas constanty and more and more people started to know about the game. Actually, I created a Telegram-channel, where I used to share proccess going on with the development, memes and APK files of the game. It started there with the version 0.1. Gradually the version 1.0 was published on Play Store. Talking about memes, there are so much references and easter eggs in the game. You should be really attentive to see all of them. The references include both Uzbekistan-related and those that known worldwide. I even made a guidebook that contains more detailed info about them and also manual for the game. You can download it here.
After the publication in July 14, 2022, I asked my friends boost the rating in Play Store and write cool reviews. They did it perfectly :) Also I had to make a trailer of the game for sure. It was published on YouTube, watch it. However, there were a lot of issues with music copyright, it's a whole separate topic... So game is finally published and everything looked perfect. When I went to school in fall, I realized that the fact that I created a game which is available on Google Play was spreaded widely. People from parallel classes were asking me about the game and how did I made it. It was a great feeling, finally my project became known to the public.
After publication of the second game, I focused on other things (especially studies). Even though, there were New Year updates. But unfortunately in summer of 2025, I forgot that I had not made an update for 6 months, which is required. So my Google Play Developer account was closed due to this. Of course I can create a new account, which by the way costs $25, but I haven't done it yet. I just do not see benefit from it. I have not earned even a dollar from my games, and it was my choice. I didn't put many ads to the games because I didn't wanted my games to have them at all. In conclusion, even though my games were not successful, they gave me a lot of experience and improvments for my portfolio. Surely one day I will reopen my account and publish the games.
